Long time no post!

I know it is the most cliche thing to say that I was busy or whatever so I didn't have time to post, but to be honest I haven't really been that busy.

All that life has really consisted of since my last post was dying my hair back to brown and becoming alot more serious about job hunting.  I did manage to find a job, which I do like and I have nearly been there for 2 months now.

So basically, all I have been doing is working and reading.  I've been really uninspired as far as makeup and appearance goes lately.  I'm working in an office type job so my hair is usually just curled and I wear natural makeup without my facial peircings showing aside from my nose stud.  It's super boring and not me, but its okay for a period of time while I am saving money to go back to school in September.

I also got a new phone after my old qwerty shit one that was pretty much glued together fell apart in my hands hoho now I have an android and it is so amazing,  I ordered some cases and accessories for it off ebay so maybe I will do a video about it or something when they arrive haha.

Maybe I will do some baking posts in here or something.  I really just need to find a way to be inspired by life again haha;;;

anyways I think I shall just leave this post with some pictures from the couple times that I did try to look decent XD

kitty perfume

My older brother gave me this fragrance as a Christmas gift.  I believe he bought it at sephora and it was a really nice suprise because I wasn't even aware that this lovely scent existed.  Some other reviews have commented that the lasting power and strength of the perfume is not up to par. 

I however quiet like the sweet subtleness of this fragrance and it reminds me alot of a weaker version of Victoria Beckhams signature scent.  It is also a very youthful scent in adorable packaging.  It looks lovely sitting on my vanity and is good for daily wear because you don't have to worry about it having an overpowering old lady perfume stench. 

overall I do really like this perfume, the scent is light and youthful, and the packaging is adorable.

Parrot eyes

I played with some makeup yesterday, kind of parrot themed I guess? ahah

I used my newish 88 eyeshadow palette from ebay as well as my "burning heart palette" by sugarpill and "royal sugar" by sugarpill (which btw is probably the most gorgeous eyeshadow color I own! bright royal blue with a nice amount of glitter mixed in)

I also decorated the office organizer that I use to store all my makeup.  bejeweled the bottom drawer and glued a swimmer shopping bag that had cute doe graphics the the upper two.  I also lined the edged with lace ribbon.

cinnamon

This post is completely pointless, but in the spirit of continuing a habit of posting things I thought I may as well. Yesterday I ate an overpriced cinnamon bun and chai latte and visited with a friend.

Atleast the icing was drizzled nicely, so here's a photo:

I also picked up a few books at the used book store.  For once I chose them all from the "classics" section.  As stated in my intro post I hope to follow more creative pursuits now that my brain isn't overflowing with the mundane task of trying to remember everything I read in school.  I haven't leisure read for YEARS.  It will also be a good way to attempt to further my intellect in the months I am away from school.  No more cheesy horrible harlequin romances that I enjoyed at 14.

So, by the intellect of one of my friends I picked up four books.  Finishing these will be a goal on my list of new years resolutions and hopefully by reading enough my writing will improve as well.

here are yesterdays goodies, including 4 books a new mascara and a utensil set and keychain from my friend.  She also made me that rainbow haired mermaid card.

The elf eyeshadow pallette was on sale for $3.99 and with 12 fairly nicely pigmented colors it's quiet awesome.  I'm thinking of doing some swatches in a future beauty post, so if you're interested in that kinda thing stay tuned! haha

Intro ;)

A few months after creating this blog, I am finally updating.
I feel that an eight month break from post secondary to earn money for further education is the perfect time to truly begin blogging, with my brain free of the monotonous task of scholarly memorization I am free to delve into more creative pursuits.

This blog will be a place for me to express my interests and thoughts, which both seem very strange and full at this stage in my life but in some ways also quiet empty.
I like the idea of having something to look back on years from now, which may elicit quiet a few "what the hell were you thinking" moments.  I hope that it will also bring back a sense of comfortable nostalgia.

The premise of this post is a starting point for me.  I hope that a spiral affect will ensue and my posts can occur on a regular basis.
